I have developed network architectures for organizations of varying scales, focusing on ensuring efficient data transmission, scalability, resilience, monitoring and managemet. This includes the deployment of multiple network devices sourced from a diverse array of vendors, such as:

• Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS): Implementing advanced systems designed to detect and prevent potential threats in real time, ensuring continuous network security monitoring.

• VPN Technologies: Deploying Virtual Private Network solutions to secure remote access and data communication, enhancing privacy and data integrity across public networks.

• Endpoint Security Solutions: Strengthening the security of individual devices within the network (endpoints), to prevent them from becoming entry points for security threats.

Desginning, leading, and educating academic courses

As the Course Leader, I have involved in the development and instruction of a comprehensive Bachelor's degree course in Computer Networks, drawing upon my expertise in the field. Additionally, in my capacity as a Senior Lecturer, I have been involved in delivering high-quality education across a range of modules, including:

• Networking Fundamentals: Providing a solid foundation in the principles and practices of networking, equipping students with the essential knowledge required to understand complex network systems.

• Network Design and Management: Teaching students the critical skills needed for designing, implementing, and managing effective and efficient network infrastructures.

• Network Security: Educate students on the various threats to network security and the strategies and technologies employed to safeguard against these threats.

• Secure Systems Administration: Offering in-depth insights into the administration of computer systems with a focus on maintaining security and operational integrity.

• Ethical Hacking and Network Intrusion Detection: Instruct students on the methodologies used by ethical hackers to assess network vulnerabilities and the techniques for detecting and responding to unauthorized intrusions.

• Digital Forensics and Incident Response: Training students in the investigation of cybercrimes and the execution of comprehensive incident response strategies.

Implementing and managing systems and services

I have successfully implemented and managed a comprehensive suite of systems and services across various platforms, demonstrating a broad technical expertise and commitment to maintaining robust, efficient network environments. My areas of responsibility have included:

• Active Directory on Windows: Setting up and managing user identities, groups, and policies to ensure secure and organized access across network resources.

• DNS on both Windows and Linux: Configuring and maintaining domain name system services.

• DHCP on Windows and Linux: Implementing dynamic host configuration protocol services to efficiently assign IP addresses to devices on the network.

• Radius Servers: to provide centralized Authentication, Authorization, and Accounting management for users who connect and use a network service.

• Monitoring Services including SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol), Syslog, and NetFlow.
